Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction, so goes the legendary tale of ARION. Since the first time he opened his mouth to sing an Elvis song at 9 years old, rumors have flown that he was Elvis' actual biological son amongst many family members and fans. At 9 years old, he sang a small rendition of My Way over a microphone, and while his mother was in the kitchen cooking, she told him to turn the song up because she loved it. Tony otherwise known on stage as ARION told his mother, "No mom, it's not Elvis, it's actually me singing", his mother always taught him not to lie and scoulded him harshly for his comments, but was very quick to apologize when she heard the miracle of Elvis Presley's older voice coming out of a 9 year old child with no music. When Tony spoke, he sounded like the typical squeaky voice of a 9 year old child. However, when he would sing he would sound closer to Elvis than 90% of all impersonators today including some of the top names we won't mention. It was a phenomenon that I suppose at that age could have made him rich if people had actually known about his talent. However, back then Tony didn't really inspire of becoming a singer, he just enjoyed singing with the music of Elvis Presley and others.

An audio tape of 9 year old Tony singing Elvis without music was sent to Ed McMann's Star Search. Needless to say, they got no reply except a letter stating that this show is a serious show and we don't accept joke submissions. There really was no other way to show them his talent was real. So the family felt helpless at the time and didn't really know what to do. Therefore, that chapter of Tony's singing career was over forever.

As chance would have it, Tony going by name ARION had a chance meeting with Jon Burrows of the Elvis Conspiracy television show. As some of you may know and as some of you may not, Jon Burrows was a man in hiding that many believed was Elvis Presley. Tony says it was only a short friendship, however, Tony did ask permission to use the stage name Jon Burrows Jr., simply because he thought it would be a cool name for stage since Elvis had used that name as an alias many times. Tony then lost contact with Mr. Burrows, and doesn't know where he is today but wishes him well.

In the year 2001, Tony had his first release of an Elvis cover song called "It's Over" which was played on C92 radio in WV. It was a smash hit right away, it became the most requested song for two straight months and led to two radio interviews. It was in these interviews that rumors had surfaced that Tony was actually the biological son of Elvis Presley of which Tony denied, of course, and will still deny. Some of the rumors may have come from the fact that Tony's mother had a brief friendship with Elvis Presley through Gary Pepper, a mutual friend and fan of Elvis. Tony's mother has always been silent on the issue whether it was any romantic involvement at all. Tony's mother whom we will call Maria says clearly Elvis was a wonderful human being and I won't be responsible for starting any more crazy rumors.

ARION will tell you straight out, "Elvis Presley left us in 1977 and I know who my father is." ARION is quoted as saying, "The rumors that Elvis appears at my shows and that I have been seen with him many times are either wishful thinking or flat out lies." ARION does not like to call people liars so he chooses to believe that is wishful thinking. He will tell you this, however. His father does bear a strong reseblance to Elvis as an older man but that's where it ends. ARION says, "I am not Elvis Presley's son", Elvis left us in 1977." When ARION was once asked if Elvis was alive, he replied "Yes, he is around me every day." This was a slip of the tongue and what he meant to say was that he is alive in all of our hearts and his presence is around him every day because ARION believes in life after death, and some Internet sites that have thankfully been deleted blew the story way out of proportion and as they always do, used it to their advantage. ARION says he once believed Elvis may have been alive, but no longer chooses to believe that story. However, ARION says, "To Elvis, if you are alive and you are reading this, may God Bless you."

After the death of Jimmy "Orion" Ellis, the masked singer, Tony was approached by the Orion inner circle and asked to wear a smask in tribute to Jimmy Ellis and sing under the persona of ARION. Tony did this for a very short time until he realized the mask would imprison him as it did Jimmy Ellis before him and he could never be himself fully on stage. Tony did it strctly as a tribute to Orion, his second favorite singer next to Elvis. It was only a tribute, nothing more, nothing less. The days of the mask are over unless of course booking agents request it. Then he will wear it only in honor of Jimmy Ellis, the man he calls the king of the tribute artists. THE UNIQUE THING ABOUT ARION, HE HAS BEEN VOICE PRINTED AGAINST EVERY ELVIS SOUND ALIKE TO EVER SING, AND HIS VOICE ACCORDING TO A COMPUTER VOICE PRINT, HIS VOICE WAS THE CLOSEST TO ELVIS PRESLEY EVER. He was tested against the likes of Doug Church, Orion, and many others. According to the computer voice print, there was not a single artist as close to Elvis Presley vocally than ARION. However, this was only when ARION would deliberately change his voice to sound more like Elvis. The sound clips you hear on this site are actually ARION's natural voice, he is not trying to sound like Elvis, he just does. According to a computer voice print, when he tries to sing like Elvis, he is the closest thing EVER!!!! AT THE END OF THE DAY, SAY WHAT YOU WANT ABOUT TONY AKA ARION, BUT IF YOU WANT TO HEAR THE CLOSEST THING IN THE WORLD TO ELVIS VOICE, BOOK HIM FOR A LIVE SHOW. He does not wear jumpsuits, he doesn't try to be Elvis, he only wants to be himself on stage but that marvelous that was Elvis Presley LIVES ON IN ARION.
